Curtis' Father Day gift

So a couple of months ago, Curtis found this great picture at Hobby Lobby that was on sale for $199.00. I loved it but I knew that I could probably make something for a fraction of the price, so I bought a poster of a world map, mixed Modge Podge and a paper glaze and treated the paper, I then burned the edges to give it that rustic look and put a little plaque at the bottom, that reads: To the world you may be just one person, but to me you are the world, love Carter 2010. Just to personalize it a little more, I put markers on the places that we have lived. I think it turned out so great! Oh and he also got a gun holster and a magazine for his gun, but he opened those already and has been playing with them... what a ham..

Carter at the fair

He just loved watching the horses and we were on the "sir Thomas" side, so everytime the knight galloped by he would yell, "Go Thomas!" So cute!

Cowboy up!

We have a little cow boy on our hands here! Now, normally Carter is a very cautious little man and usually clings to us when it comes to a new situation. We took him to the Renissanse fair and when he saw those little ponies, he ran right up to them and was petting them, so we bought a ticket for him to ride one and he was in heaven, he loved it and couldn't have cared that daddy was righ behind him, he is a true cowboy at heart! Too cute.
